Llewellyn bows out of training ranks

At The Races - Llewellyn bows out of training ranks:

"Carl Llewellyn was out of luck when saddling the final two runners of his training career at Uttoxeter.

Tayman was unplaced in the Ladies At The Races Handicap Hurdle, while Scalloway failed to get competitive in the Britannia Building Society English Summer National, won by Fire And Rain.

Llewellyn, former stable jockey to Nigel Twiston-Davies, is now looking forward to teaming up with him once again as assistant.

He made a spectacular start to life as a trainer when saddling, and riding, Run For Paddy to success in the 2006 Scottish Grand National at Ayr, but earlier this month was sacked as salaried trainer to owner Malcolm Denmark at Weathercock House.

'It is a bit sad, but things move on and we'll make the best of it. We've had a few decent winners and some good runs at the Cheltenham Festival,' Llewellyn told At The Races.
'Obviously I know Nigel extremely well - we get on great - so it will be nice to team up with him again."

Will miss his runners in NHF races.
