news - scoop6 winners

news - www.racingpost.co.uk: "EIGHT winning tickets won Saturday's Scoop6 pool, each taking home £437,011.39.

Going into the last leg - the 3.50 at Lingfield - 37 tickets remained, with only three of the runners not covered.

Duff, trained in Ireland by Edward Lynam, ran away with the final race, much to the delight of the eight ticket-holders.

One of the lucky winners was Racing UK presenter Peter Naughton, who was working for the racing channel as Duff recorded his victory.

'My hands are shaking. There are a fair few of us who have put £50 in each for the last few weeks, so we thought we would have another crack this time. I would say there is around 60 or so in the group,' said Naughton.

Another winner is reported to beHarry Findlay, who is believed to have had more than one winning ticket.

The pool reached £4,994,416 before the start of the first race, which was won by Atlantic Story, who got favourite backers off to a cracking start under Ryan Moore. The second leg went to Romany Princess - also ridden by Moore.

The 2.45 at Haydock looked tricky on paper with the majority of punters going for Osako D'Airy. However, he could only manage fourth as Possol lifted the prize.

Punters placed their faith in the Pricewise selection Bronze Cannon in the fourth leg, with John Gosden's inmate carrying 986 tickets, however, Yahrab lifted that contest under Jamie Spencer."
