Glorious Goodwood Revue

Oh boy, am I glad Goodwood is over, such big festivals make for really hard work to find winners so i was really pleased to finish in good style with two winners at 14/1 and 11/1....

My email subscribers received the following with another long priced winner at 11/1.

The last day at Goodwood, may or may not be related but was struck by 100% insomnia last night. The extra time means a bonus in the form of my selections for Thirsk today. Just 2 shorties which I hope will win to give us bookies money for any further fun bets if you don’t stop at a winner.

Thirsk thoughts for today…

2.00 Charles Dickens, trainer great strike rate with 2yo has a good draw but as with all maiden races check the betting. (NB at Catterick last week we found the prices offered by on-course bookies were almost always far lower than the final starting price which you can get with tote sport)

2.30 Not a great race to bet in with 2 short co-favs, Sirenuse for local in form trainer Smart and southern raider Bahamian Babe. The first named has the best draw.

3.05 Osteopathic Remedy 5/1 & Hula Ballew 6/1 for Dods 15-84 18% strike rate and +£31.00 level stakes profit.
Hula has C&D four wins and four places from 12 starts and N Brown in the saddle makes her my first choice with maybe a saver on Osteopath

3.40 Champain Sands if the rain stays away.has won this race for the past 2 years
Dangers: Dispol Isle, Haasem

4.15 Another tricky maiden. Stats say Gheed should win but I reckon Straight Sets and Kiss Me Hardy have a squeak at each way prices.

4.50 Spring Breeze. Each way, Dods again!

5.25 Lady jockeys J Coward is related to the Easterby’s and Ryedane is my first choice with Bahamian Duke & Valverde also catching my eye.

Good luck and have a great day
