Fridays email advice "Three extra bets as usual and the first and second are both win bets. In the 5.40 Wolves am going to oppose New Leyf 5/2 with a sneaky little each way bet on Johnston’s only evening runner, Thebes 8/1."
New Leyf only managed 4th whilst Thebes was backed into 11/2 and won.
Racing Post comments say "he returned to something like his best and, although edging both ways under pressure, stuck on in tenacious fashion to notch his second win over course and distance. He seems to like it here but will find life tougher after reassessment, especially against the more progressive types."
