A tough days racing at Aintree yesterday with just the one winner at "2.15 Serabad won at 9/2"
Going back to the scoop6, the media seem dead keen for the one £2 punter to come forward for publicity purposes. From the reports I guess the other 7 winning tickets belonged to syndicates, high stakes players which they would rather not publicise to keep joe public having his £2 entries.
Racing post report "THE mysterious punter who on Saturday won £437,011 on the Scoop6 after staking just £2 has been revealed to be a married man living in Newbury, but nothing else is set to be revealed about him unless he abandons his desire for anonymity.
Attempts by the Tote and Stan James - in whose Thatcham shop the winningbet was placed - to locate the punter today resulted in him making himself known to the bookmakers. However, he has yet to agree to reveal himself to the wider world.
Stan James spokeswoman Laura Stephens said: "The winning Scoop6 punter lives in Newbury and is a married man. At this stage that's all we know as he ticked the anonymous box, but we hope he will change his mind about anonymity later in the week and agree to publicity."
The £2 punter held one of the eight winning tickets, the owners ofwhich will all get the chance on Saturday to win a share of the £1,529,525 in the bonus fund. "
