Jackpot Rollover Thursday

Nottingham hosts the Tote Jackpot card tomorrow with a massive £1 million pool expected to play for!

Will the results be as all over the place as today? I was so pleased to get an early winner, just the one, and stop betting then!

Anyway, Nottinghams jackpot tips will be emailed in the morning and published later...

Bank boosting winning exacta tip

Yesterday I was concerned that the Sedgefield card looks as difficult as usual so lets hope I have chosen wisely. Only a couple of winners but the exacta tip came up with the goodies:

Combi Exacta: WON £125.00 Shulmin WON , I´m Your Man 2nd, Hall Of Flame 3.50 Sedge

The exacta paid loads more than the combination straight forecast which returned a measly £78.73!

I also wrote that I was against the second short fav, Duke Of Milan in favour of Espartano 7/2 who gets in on a mark he should win at today. Although I fancied the first to win it only managed second.

Sedgefield Jackpot Placepot & Stop at a Winner Tips

16/1 winning horse racing tips

In yesterday's email I wrote:

"Good afternoon,

A low key day after yesterday’s excitement but still winners to be had. Shame my main fancy for the National, D’Argent, fell but he could pay us back in the Scottish National (April 19).

Storm Prince is a weak favourite and I fancy Christine Dunnett’s Southburgh 25/1 to place at least whereas Mister Friday should win easily." Result? Southburgh won 16/1

Today's email for the jackpot at kelso and which of today's short favopurites to back or lay with my selection if a lay has already gone out and the free horse racing tips will be online shortly

Grand National Exacta Forecast Tip

Warmed up nicely for picking the one two in the Grand National today by tipping up the exacta in the John Smith's Topham Chase yesterday with 2 of my 4 selections coming 1st and second.

Once again the Exacta paid far more than the CSF:

Exacta £116.60; Combination Straight Forecast £78.29

Just have to decide wether to select just 4 horses or hedge my bets and pick 5?

Whatever, my horse racing tips for the Grand National meeting will be available before the first race

Monday winning horse racing tips

I thought it a very poor days racing yesterday so was more than pleased to tip up winners at halfway decent prices: 9/2, 9/2, 4/1, 11/10, 2/1 lay & 7/4 win

Southwell Jackpot Placepot Tips Stop at a Winner Dutch Betting

My email subscribers read "It seems as if spring is really here at last and I am not running late today. However, the racing today is not stuff to get too excited by, nor to go in too deep with your stakes.

Just the two shorties, I fancy Divers 1.50 to win but have gone against Von Galen as Ruby should give a strong ride to get Earth Planet 9/4 home in front."....and the result was LAY 2nd Von Galen 15/8 2.50 Win, Back Planet 1st 7/4

Lincoln Exacta tip won

In yesterdays email I advised that "there are so many races and big fields to consider today, to be honest I will be very surprised if the Scoop6 is won today, the fields at Donny are too big for the syndicate boys to cover and long prices there are likely to be the order of the day. So much like Cheltenham reduced stakes and dutch bets are my plan. . .

So I was more than pleased to tip the winner of the very first race of the flat season in the 2.15 at Doncaster, Sallys Dilemma 1st 7/1

I was even happier at 4pm when my Exacta tip for the lincoln came in!

Exacta: Blythe Knight, European Dream, Smokey Oakey, Escape Route 4 Donc
Exacta £539.30 CSF £224.84 1st Smokey Oakey 10-1, 2nd Blythe Knight 22-1
A real bonus if you put on the tote exacta, a disappointment if you couldnt be bothered with the tote slip and put on a sp based forecast.

The two o'clock exclamation mark is for the truly strange rides given to all 4 horses by their apprentice jockeys....

Racing Post reports that "JOSEPHINE BRUNING was left staring over her shoulder in disbelief as she gained her first career win by 16 lengths courtesy of "gross inexperience" by her three fellow apprentice rivals in the opener at Kempton on Tuesday.

Billy Cray, Paul Nolan and Ross Atkinson were banned for a total of 34 days for allowing Bruning's mount Sol Rojo to gallop a full 30 lengths clear off the home turn without attempting to respond.

Dutch-born Bruning, 23, having just her tenth ride, came home in splendid isolation to spark an immediate stewards' enquiry amid the embarrassment of trial by TV for the red-faced trio."

Cheltenham Festival Race Meeting Wednesday

...is off due to strong winds, so disappointed after yesterdays profitable opening day.

"Officials made the announcement after another morning of intense gusts at Prestbury Park.

All six races due to take place this afternoon will instead be staged on Thursday and Friday"

Today's feature race would have been the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

So, off to study the rest of todays race cards and put together my free horse racing tips for Huntingdon & Southwell

Cheltenham Arkle winning tips

Tidal Bay at 6/1 in the second race of the festival meeting and won in great style.

"Denis O'Regan made a decisive move at the top of the hill aboard Howard Johnson's 6-1 chance and he pinged the second-last fence.

Hot favourite Noland could find nothing and was beaten for second by Kruguyrova as Tidal Bay streaked clear on the bend and flew the last to bag the two-mile prize by a crushing 13 lengths."

Check out the rest of my Cheltenham tips for more winners

Well, managed to find another winner at 4/1, plus 3 places @ 9/2, 10/1 & 15/8 so a tidy profit after all my nerves about a bad Cheltenham.

Tomorrows email will go out as soon as I have made my betting selections and Gambling housewife will be updated after that with Wednesday's Cheltenham bets.

Friday horse racing betting

Thought at first that today was going to be a disaster at the betting office with the first 3 short priced favourites being turned over but a good priced tip on the all weather came to the rescue with Northern Desert winning at 6/1 in the second rae at Wolverhampton.

Surely must be at least a couple more winning tips today??

Thursday's horse racing tips

workingon the Taunton jackpot card for today's horse racing betting selections.

Wednesday's jackpot tips gave us a winner in the first albeit at a short 10/11 but a profit is a profit, that is the great thing about dutching. The tips gave another three winners at 11/4, 7/2 and 15/8 so a pretty good day at the races.

The Taunton jackpot tips will be emailed ASAP and published later when I get back from the docs. Rang for results and was told she needs to discuss the bloods taken last week and take some . .

Horse racing tips & results

What a shame Catterick Races was called off yesterday, I fancied a fair few long shots...still, the all-weather race meeting at Lingfield did the job with a 9/2 winning tip in the second race and again a 9/2 winning tip in the third race so not a bad day at the office.

Horse Racing Tips Tuesday

The Jackpot card is at Catterick races today so my main racing tips will be from that beautiful North Yorkshire race course.

At first I thought yesterdays horse racing betting was going to be a disaster getting off to a bad start with both fancied short priced tips were turned over. The jackpot card came up with a winner in the 4th leg at a very nice price of 7/1 but the placepot tips performed much better with winners in the first race at 13/8 followed by 3 more winning tips at 7/2, 6/4 & 11/4 - a good day at the office after all.

Today's best racing tips will be updated shortly.

Big-staking syndicate wins big Scoop6

Racing Post reports that:

"A BIG-staking syndicate edged out a minimum-stakes punter to emerge as the sole winner of Saturday's Totesport Scoop6.

Only two tickets remained heading into the final leg of Saturday's bet, with the syndicate from the south of England siding with favourite Binocular, although the £2 player got a run for their money when their selection Pierrot Lunaire got within a length and a quarter of the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle winner.

That result means the winners are £375,183 better off and will have the chance to play for a further £160,792 next week, while the ticket-holder who watched their selection finish second is one of 60 who collected the £1,843.70 place dividend."

Jeez, I would be gutted to have been that individual with just a 2 quid entry, especially to be beaten by an alredy wealthy syndicate...just have to keep trying or start a scoop6 syndicate of your own.

millionaire punter

Curious and curiouser...The Bedale millionaire punter yet to collect his winnings:

Despite visiting one William Hill betting shop where it was confirmed that his 50p bet had won him a world record £1million profit, a Yorkshireman has yet to contact the shop in Thirsk where he placed his wager on Friday to arrange for payment.

"We have been maintaining a vain vigil for the mystery punter," said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. "While we are quite happy to earn a day or two's interest on the massive winning wager we are baffled as to why the winner - a man in his late fifties or early sixties, we believe, has not contacted us as yet to arrange for payment of his recoird £1million winnings."

The man placed his 50p bet on eight horses running on Friday - the first named Isn't That Lucky and the last, A Dream Come True. All eight won, overcoming odds of 2,000,000/1 and making him Britain's first betting shop millionaire.

However, the man's luck seems to have run out - he staked £2.50 on Saturday, and lost the lot. "At that rate in 400,000 days' time we should have won the million back," commented Sharpe.

How to turn 50p into a million

Sporting Life report that a local - to me - thirsk punter won a £1million for just 50p! if only i had put my 7 winners on Thursday into amulti bet like that!

William Hill punter was believed to have become Britain's first betting-shop millionaire on Friday night after an eight-horse accumulator landed odds of more than £2,000,000-1.

His 50p stake won him a cool £1million - which is Hills' limit on horseracing.

Hills say the customer is a regular in a Thirsk-based branch and places these type of bets almost daily - although he has never previously come close to winning on a major scale.

"Even a scriptwriter couldn't have dreamt this one up," said spokesman David Hood.

"His first winner was called Isn't That Lucky in the 2.55pm at Sandown on Friday afternoon and his last winner was A Dream Come True in the 9.20pm at Wolverhampton.

"It is a staggering bet and earns him a place in history as the world's first betting-shop millionaire."

The customer's winning selections:

:: Isn't That Lucky - 2.55pm Sandown (8-1)

:: Mutamarres - 3.05pm Nad Al Sheba (7-2)

:: Mutasallil - 3.40pm Nad Al Sheba (11-2)

:: Racer Forever - 4.15pm Nad Al Sheba (4-1)

:: Ede's 4.50pm - Warwick (10-1)

:: Rio L'Oren - 7.50pm Wolverhampton (15-2)

:: Guadaloup - 8.20pm Wolverhampton (11-2)

:: A Dream Come True - 9.20pm Wolverhampton (5-2)

Thursday horse racing tips

Todays early email alert has been sent for the Ayr Jackpot Race Meeting.

Sorry about the days off, some strong antibiotics have started to clear up my sinusitis and aches, pains and temperature are subsiding so back to the hot keyboard today.

I fancy the first shorty ...... to win but instead of ....Ayr I reckon last years winners .... could take this again this year.

A couple of odds on shots in my selections today which cannot be omitted for jackpot purposes but will not be value single bet propositions unless you are a high roller and can risk 5K to win 1K..

Tuesday horse racing tips

The Racing Post reports that there are late inspections at both jumps meetings today:

"Sedgefield inspect at 11am with clerk of the course Charlie Moore saying: "You couldn't abandon racing today and the chairman of the stewards is absolutely adamant about that, so we're going to roll forward to the morning. We are trying to race, and by the time the temperature drops tonight, the whole course will be under cover."

Taunton's chances appear reasonably bright, with clerk of the course Michael Trickey cautiously optimistic ahead of a 10.30am inspection.

He said: "We had a minimum of -5C on Sunday but we were raceable by 1pm."

Both are under great pressure to try to ensure racing goes ahead but the lateness of the inspections makes me very wary of betting at those meetings.

Plus, I am only about 40 mins from Sedgefield and it is a winter wonderland here - the fields were frozen solid on Sunday and have not thawed in between at all..

Add in the poor card at Southwell - only one race with 8 runners and that is a claimer - and my still being full of flu - it all adds up to a "no bets" day...

Sunday Horse Racing Tips

Today's racing tips will be published shortly..

I was delighted to get an early winner yesterday, with Pasco obliging in the first at Newbury, I am getting to dislike Saturday racing more and more, traditionally known to be a good day for the bookies so I was pleased to shut up the office early. That said Denman was beautiful to watch but unlike Harry Findlay I don’t have the bank to stake 4K to win 1K – a return many businesses could never even dream of.

Results Saturday

Newbury Jackpot Placepot & Stop at a Winner

1.05 Zebra Crossing, Pasco WON 4/1, Pressgang
1.35 Mr Strachan, Heres Johnny

3.20 Mohayer 4th, Caracciola

How to make a profit dutching bet stakes

I have now added a dutching calculator to my main racing tips site as i use one when working out how to split my stake when I tip two or more horses in the same race

Dutching is a method used to back more than one horse in a race and works by putting the correct stake on each horse so that no matter which horse wins the same amount of profit is returned.

Dutching is a really powerful staking tool and was allegedly, created during the Prohibition Era by Al Capone's accountant, "Dutchy" Schultz. The amount he bet on each horse was carefully calculated so that the same amount of profit was madeif any of the horses he backed won the race.

Monday racing tips

May be late online as I have yet another hospital appointmet this morning.

The move to a stop at a winner system is still working well despite some real nightmares with the proofing...missed proofing a couple of winners by half a second and went into full tilt proofing mode racking up huge imaginary losses when I had actually already locked in the profit for the day, duh!

Southwell and Lingfield look real stinkers today so I am hoping for an early winner again then I can leave them alone.

UK horse racing tips Thursday 24th January

not too bad a day with a winner in the first for the Musselburgh Jackpot Placepot & Stop at a Winner Tips:

1.00 Im Delilah, Princess Flame WON 4/1

...followed by the first shortie also going on to win and the next jackpot tips at 1.30 coming in 1st and second.

In my tip alert email I advised to lay the second shortie, Honour´s Dream, which was unplaced "led until ridden and headed before 2 out, lost place quickly, eased" and to have a small each way bet on Loulou Nivernais... "took keen hold, prominent, 2nd at 7th until ridden and weakened quickly before 2 out".. maybe today will be the day for a double for Loulou's trainer?

No official bets today as I have to leave soon to attend a small ceremony for the interment of mum's ashes and to sort out her house.

Should be back to normal tomorrow and for the foreseeable future.

Saturday Winning Horse Racing Tips

Only 12.40 and jobs done already, ok the first winner was a short price at the off but if you got on at 11/10 as I did there was a tidy profit to be made. Also have had the first and second come in in the first leg of the jackpot card at Newbury so everything crossed for the next five races, lol...

Boxing Day Racing Winners, Welsh National

Too much racing yesterday! Glad I concentrated on the Jackpot meeting at Kempton and the Scoop6 which included 2 races at Wetherby...close but no jackpot payout but had four winners at Kempton and another at Wetherby which would have made a tasty multiple bet if I had bothered...

Off to have a look at the Welsh National and todays tips will be on Gambling Housewife later this morning.

Probably no tips tomorrow, Friday, as I am going back to stay at mum's tonight. She had a very bad day yesterday needing extra morphine for new pains in her back and has lost all use of her left leg. Poor soul is undergoing a terrible ordeal. Different GP visiting today, I hope he ensures she gets the best relief possible.

Wednesday Free Horse Racing Tips Newbury Jackpot

...will be online on the Gambling Housewife before the start of the first race at midday.

However I do not know when I will next be able to publish my tips as Mum remains mostly pain free but nausea a problem but are giving her an injection when nausea esp bad which seems to help. She is weaker every day, so much so that she cannot move unaided and bedsores are becoming a problem, poor soul. A positive is that she is much morre settled in her new room and there are one or three things that we can do which still give her some pleasure

Back off there later today, had a much needed night at home last night, crashed on sofa about 8pm....but nothing compared to her ordeal..

Hope all is well with you and yours

Sunday Horse Racing Tips

..will be online soon, tasty rollover for the Tote Jackpot Race Card at Kempton!

Mum is weakening every day that passes, she seems a lot happier since the move to room 13 ( I was surprised that a nursing home has a room thirteen) and relatively symptom free which is a relief for all. Mum said I could have my nanas copy of Elizabeth Craig's Cookery illustrated and Household management which has a weierd and wonderful collection of household hints...

for example:
"Corns, Cure for:

Soak some bread in vinegar for 2 days and put a piece as a poultice on the corn overnight, binding it on with a strip of rag. Every 3 days soak the feet in hot water and peel off a layer of the corn. Continue the treatment until the corn has disappeared"

A great day for horse racing - Fallon cleared

Racing post and all Tv news headline with "Fallon walks free as trial collapses

THE race-fixing trial over the conspiracy to defraud Betfair customers, which began on September 24, has today come to an end. Mr Justice Forbes told the jury that there was no case to answer following the end of the prosecution case last Friday. Kieren Fallon (pictured outside the Old Bailey today), Darren Williams, Fergal and Shaun Lynch, Miles Rodgers and Philip Sherkle all walk free. More to follow. . .

5/1 racing winner

A good days horse racing for me yesterday with my first stop at a winner tip winning at 5/1 so 60+ points profit in just two days..

No tips due to illness

Apologies for the lack of updates since last Monday but I have been at my mums because she is now very unwell and needing 24/7 care. Thank heavens a bed has become available at the local hospice for her and that the pain and sickness seems under more control and she is comfortable.

I am only home for a short rest, bath and to pick up some essentials so I really do not know when i will be able to resume normal service but hope to be back soon..

Thursday Racing Tips at Lingfield

are almost finalised after looking out for non runners and early market movers and will be online before the first race is off.

There are 2 top rated, one at Newcastle and one at Stratford but one is a lay and I have a strong preference in that race....

October stop at a winner profits

given a great boost by a 7/1 Mark Johnston horse winning the second leg of the jackpot at Catterick today, it was shorter - at time of proofing so carried 3 points to cover the previous race loss of 5 points and to make a profit. Proofed stop at a winner tips stood at just over 68 points profit before todays winner!

It would have been beautiful at Catterick today, the weather in North Yorkshire has been brilliant although the clouds are starting to gather now...

Days off tipping

My daughter has returned from Greece and we are going to be spending some time with my terminally ill mother over the next few days so I will not be able to proof my stop at a winner and may not be able to email and/or update my tips every day...

From proofed stop at a winner tips now stands at plus 80.45 points

todays tips online soon

New staking system & Monday racing winnings

Since using stop at a winner to back my jackpot race meeting horses the proofed tips are showing almost 80 points profit for October. I love it when the winners come early but there were some aspects to the old proofing system that I miss..

anyway, yesterday I wrote about the top rated being a lay...which was duly landed and my alternative also won. I wrote "As yesterday the top rated on stats is given a miss as I fancy Bells Oat Cuisine at 7/2 to do the business today.

Johnston continues in great form so his only runner of the day, Suzi Spends 12/1 2.30 Windsor, should not be ignored'

Bells Oat Cuisine 1st 7/2
Suzi Spends 1st 8/1

so is todays horse racing shortie a back or a lay, why not have a look and try to guess?

Online ASAP

Monday, October 15, 2007

First race at Windsor..job done

In todays email I wrote "Johnston continues in great form so his only runner of the day, Suzi Spends 12/1 2.30 Windsor, should not be ignored" and Suzi romped in, well won in a photo at 8/1, I took the early 12/1 so thats it for today.

No more proofing etc so time to catch up on the dreaded housework ready for my daughters arrival from Greece to stay for a week.

In a great mood now so I will drop a hint that todays top rated is a lay..

Saturday Racing Winnings

In yestardays email I wrote

"Nail biting stuff if like me you were backing stop at a winner yesterday but the price made earlier stakes easy to recoup. Lets hope for an earlier winner today and a few good runs for our money in the Scoop Six, well worth winning today as single winner of the Win and Bonus prizes would get an estimated £1,392,471. Smaller fish, just one top rated today away from the jackpot meeting which would get 4 points win on the old system or use as a get out of jail card."

Saturday was not quite so near knuckle biting with a good winner in the 4th race on the York Jackpot card and the shortie won but computer problems meant that did not get proofed.... Top rated shortie: Franchoek 2/1 3.40 Chepstow

York Jackpot Placepot & Stop at a Winner - I stake for a profit & recover losses
2.10 Blue Spinnaker, Full Victory
2.40 Atlantic Coast
3.10 Sudden Impact, Major Eazy
3.45 Rising Shadow, Fonthill Road WON 13/2
4.20 Ghizlaan
4.50 The Grey Berry

And so, the Scoop Six rolls over again to next Saturday when the Ch4 scheduled races are Cheltenham 2:20, 3:30 & Newmarket 2:05, 2:40, 3:15, 3:55 so midnight oil and thinking cap at the ready.

Of todays shorties one is a win bet and the other a lay with my email detailing my win selection for that race...todays Bath Jackpot tips online soon

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Who will be the next Scoop Six millionaire?

I would love to think I could crack it!

Right now the pool for the Scoop 6 totals
Win Fund £ 711,890
Place Fund £ 11,634
Bonus Fund £ 609,935

If you are the sole winner of the Win and Bonus prizes you would win an estimated £1,321,825!

The amount to be won in the scoop six win and place funds will keep increasing up until the first race starts.

The big question is will it go to a small single punter with one 2 pound line on or to a big syndicate with lots of selections for each race? However todays big fields should make it prohibitively expensive to do large perm bets

Todays Scoop 6 races are:

14:10 York 20 runners
14:20 Ascot 19 runners
14:25 Bangor 12 runners
15:10 York 15 runners
15:25 Bangor 14 runners
15:45 York 20 runners

My Scoop Six selections will be online shortly.

Fingers crossed!

Today's horse racing tips will be online shortly before racing starts.

What a day at the races

or not as the case may be...first my washing machine started screaming up the plug hole at me then my lap top crashed before I could proof my first winner of the day in just the second leg of my jackpot placepot tips! So my stats are messed up as I tried to play catch up and hopefully ensured a profit for the day with another winner in the 6th and last leg of my selections. So my strike rate as proofed is out but returns should be about right.

Washing mahine easily fixed in the end and some interesting info re greyhounds from the repair man so onwards to tomorrows racing and hopefully an early profit

New Horse Racing System

stop at a winner combined with my method for selecting horses for the Tote Jackpot showing 12.50 points profit for the first three days of October with a profit locked in again today in the third race - despite a raging migraine ..long may this continue!

Monday, October 01, 2007

Winning Monday for my horse racing tips

Great stuff, the new "stop at a winner" racing system using my jackpot placepot tips came up a winner again today with the sole selection for the second leg winning at 7/2

The only problem is that I have to be at the computer until the first winner comes in, not always possible with an elderly father in law with dementia and mother with terminal cancer. Likely to have to miss a few days tipping and proofing in the near future.

Betting Bank and Staking Plan

A lot has been written about the various forms and varieties of gambling, but far to little about the responsibilities and pitfall of gambling, as someone who makes his living from gambling, whether it be from horse racing, fixed odds, online and offline poker or any of the other sporting or specialty types of betting I know only too well the pitfalls that await the newbie gambler and the seasoned punter alike, I have even heard of some pro gamblers who in the middle of a particularly bad run have went on tilt and ended up broke.

The heartache and misery that accompany such an episode can not only affect such a punter but also his or her family and friends, unpaid bills, rent or mortgage payments, excessive drinking, even the loss of ones job, and yet with a small amount of effort all of this can be avoided,

To get any sort of enjoyment or financial gain from you gambling you must look hard at yourself and answer the following 3 statements HONESTLY, 1. Do I have self discipline, 2. Do I have a betting bank I can put aside (No matter how small your starting bank may be). 3. Can I afford to lose it, this third statement may seem a little strange at first till your realise that you must be able to face such an eventuality as with any form of gambling there will always be this risk. If you answer NO to any one of these three statements then I am afraid that gambling of any sort is most definetly NOT FOR YOU.

Let us now examine each statement on an individual basis,

Discipline: You must have discipline in order to be a professional gambler, if you hit a bad run of results due to weather, bad judgment or any of the other multitude of disasters that can befall the pro gambler then you must have the discipline to stick to your staking plan and protect your betting bank, you must also have discipline so that when you do hit a winning run your do not make silly bets convinced that you can get another winner no matter what horse you pick, remember in such a state off euphoria you are more likely to pick the proverbial three legged donkey with asthma and bad eyesight.

REMEMBER FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANING TO FAIL

Betting Bank: This is probably one off the most contentious points amongst both pro gamblers and amateur punters alike, I have seen various amounts of money quoted as a starting bank from £250-£1,000 as a starting bank and on one occassion even a starting bank of £5,000, to the ordinary guy in the street looking to make extra cash from this business or indeed to start on the road to becoming a full time pro gambler amounts like these are just not possible. A more realistic amount will depend on whether you are starting out at a high street bookmakers or online at one of the betting exchanges, lets s first look at the bookies shop, if you decide this is your starting point then a bank of just £25 will be a sufficient starting point, if on the other hand you have access to a computer and a broadband connection then the betting exchanges are your starting point as you are betting against other people as opposed to a mainstream bookmaker,

you can also expect slightly better odds from the exchanges.

On the exchanges it is a fact that only about 4% of punters make a living from their betting, the unfortunate other 96% are your mug punters who have no disiplne, no betting bank and no staking plan, these people will occasionally get lucky and have a big win but when you count what they have lost previously the majority of the time they are only winning back their previously lost cash and by the law of averages will lose in the long run.

So you see without discipline and a betting bank you will continually lose.

For your betting bank to survive you will need a staking plan, one of the best plans I know of is the 4% plan whereby you only ever bet 4% of your bank at any one time. From a starting bank of £50 your first bet would be just £2, if this lost then your next bet would be 4% of £48 or £1.92. Let us assume however that your first bet is a winner at odds of 3/1, your original stake is returned to you along with £6 winnings, so your £50 bank is now £56, this means you next bet would be £2.24, the beauty of this plan is that it reduces your stake or liability following a loss but increases your stake after a winner, this method will protect your betting bank longer and decreases the chances of a total wipe out.

Losing your Bank: Last but not least we come to what I consider the most important point CAN I AFFORD TO LOSE MY BETTING BANK, your betting bank should be money you set aside and if necessary are prepared to lose in its entirety, as previously mentioned you betting bank should not be made up from money you would normally use to pay bills, rent/mortgage etc, if you use this type of cash you are betting in fear as if your betting bank gets wiped out you are actually in debt twice over and this is the road to certain financial ruin, I have seen to many good men and women ruined financially and emotionally by following this route, the only certainty in gambling is UNCERTAINTY and a sure fire guarantee that you will NEVER be able to join the ranks of thee pro gamblers and the kind of lifestyle that they enjoy will forever be unreachable for you.
